Donations will be primarily used to purchase equipment and materials that teachers and volunteers will need to undertake ongoing activities with young people.

Automotive Courses

Entry Requirements

  • Interview
  • Demonstration of acceptable attendance, desire and commitment to hard work.

Length of Course

  • 12 weeks- one year

Course Content

  • Apply safe working practices
  •  Identify environment regulations
  • Apply communication skills
  •  Indentify automotive parts & products
  • Service, maintain or replace batteries
  • Remove and tag engine system components
  • Use and maintain workplace tools and equipment

Course Synopsis

  • This course allows individuals a basic understanding of automotive practices.   Participants will gain a realistic insight into the industry.  Once completed participants will be in a position to progress into a traineeship or an apprenticeship.

Progression

  • Participants will progress into a workplace traineeship, apprenticeship or may take up a full time Certificate II at TAFE.
