Entry Requirements

Children's Services
  • All participants must be initially assessed on their numeracy and literacy abilities and be eligible for a positive Blue Card notice.
  • The course is available to all age groups, however, paid employment within the childcare industry is from 17 years of age.

Length of Course

  • 12 weeks- one year

Course Synopsis

  • This course comprises of units towards a complete Certificate III in Children’s Services.  Students address all areas of childcare including Workplace Health and Safety, industry placement and other vital elements of the Children’s Services industry.

  • Care for children
  • Ensure children’s health and safety
  • Senior First Aid
  • Deliver services and activities to stimulate children’s development and enhance their leisure

Progression

Participants may choose to continue and complete the full Certificate III in Children’s Services.  Please inquire as to the pathway best suited to your circumstances.
